Inspiration

Ṯhuwaybah Raḍiyallāhu ʿanhā was the freed slave of Abu Lahab. She was the first woman to suckle the Noble Master Nabī Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu ʾAlayhi Wa Sallam.  She suckled him for 8 days. She also suckled Ḥamzah ,the uncle of Nabī Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu ʾAlayhi Wa Sallam. When Nabī Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu ʾAlayhi Wa Sallam was born, she informed Abu Lahab about his birth. Delighted with her giving him the news, Abu Lahab freed her. Nabī Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu ʾAlayhi Wa Sallam continued to honour her in her life. He would send her cloths and other gifts. Kẖadījah Raḍiyallāhu ʿanhā would also honour her.

She passed away in the 7th year of Hijrah after the conquest of Kẖaybar.

It is in honour of this Ṣaḥābiyah Raḍiyallāhu ʿanhā’s status, that this initiative is named after her (Raḍiyallāhu ʿanhā).
